Do you have a copy of your old passport (visa page, biographic page stamped pages etc.)? You can submit the copies of the same at the time of filling your H-1B. However, you can remain in the US for the duration of your authorized stay, as shown on your admission stamp or paper Form I-94, Arrival/Departure Record. You can get your I-94 copy from the CBP website. If you cannot find your I94 copy from the CBP website, you should contact CBP for the same. Lost or stolen U.S. visas cannot be replaced in the United States. You have to travel to the U.S consulate in your home country where you obtained your visa and get a replacement for the same. However, you will need your passport and I-94 card before you can travel to your home country. Replacements for both these documents can be obtained within the U.S. However, before applying for visa, you need to provide a written account documenting the loss of your passport and visa and also include a copy of the police report.
