Lottery results are much anticipated by H1B aspirants who filed their H1B petitions this year for 2015 H1B cap. We know everyone is eagerly awaiting for the Dooms day. We have received number of requests from our readers to provide some information.

When will they perform the random lottery?

They will perform the random lottery way before the April 28, 2014.

What is the significance of April 28, 2014?

USCIS has confirmed in it's News release that they will begin issuing Cap-subject Receipts starting April 28, 2014 for petitions filed under the Premium Processing program. This means that they have to randomly select (lottery) applications before the April 28, 2014.

My case was filed under premium processing, when will I get the results?

Most likely within a week from April 28, 2014, if you have NOT received after that period, you may assume that your application was not selected in the random lottery process.

My case was filed under regular processing, when will I get this results?

Based on last year, you should receive a response by the 3rd week of May 2014

Are there better chances for Lottery if my H1B petition was filed under the Premium Processing?

NO, all applications are treated equally, premium processing has no advantages over regular processing for the Lottery.

PLEASE READ AN UPDATE
