H1B Amendment is process and applied for extension

Hi Team,

Amendment is in process for my H1B visa which I applied in June 2017 from CA to TX and also present visa expiring in Nov, 2017. So We have applied for extension for current location (TX). Now I got a RFE request for Amendment process. What happens if we don't respond to Amendment RFE, does it effect the extension petition.
